PA 4-H Horse Program Endowment in the College of Ag. Sciences

The purpose of this endowment shall be to enrich the College of Agricultural Sciences at The Pennsylvania State University by providing monies for the support of 4-H youth, youth programs and other program development through the Pennsylvania 4-H Horse Program. The 4-H Program furthers the mission of The Pennsylvania State University as a land-grant institution in accordance with the Morrill Acts of 1862 and 1890.

Therese A. Vrooman Memorial Equine Endowment

This endowment provides monies for the equine science program in the Department of Dairy and Animal Science. Preference shall be to award funds to full-time students enrolled or planning to enroll in the Department of Dairy and Animal Science with an interest in Equine Science who have achieved superior academic records or who manifest promise of outstanding academic success.

Eastern Meat Packers Association Scholarship

This scholarship will assist worthy students pursuing a degree offered by the Department of Dairy and Animal Science, the Department of Agricultural Economics and Rural Sociology, or the Department of Food Science at The Pennsylvania State University who display special interest in the field of meats.

William B. Darrow Graduate Scholarship in Ruminant Nutrition

This scholarship is to provide recognition and financial assistance to outstanding graduate students enrolled or planning to enroll in graduate studies in ruminant nutrition in the Department of Dairy and Animal Science.

Land O'Lakes Purina Feeds LLC Annual Scholarship

This scholarship will provide recognition and financial assistance to outstanding graduate and undergraduate students enrolled in the Animal Science major in the College of Agricultural Sciences.

John and Norma Almquist Graduate Scholarship in Dairy and Animal Science

This scholarship provides recognition and financial assistance to outstanding graduate students who are enrolled or are planning to enroll in the College of Agricultural Sciences and who are doing research at the John O. Almquist Research Center in the Department of Dairy and Animal Science.

Donald V. Josephson and Stuart Patton Mentorship Award in Dairy and Food Science

This award supports graduate work in dairy and food science by honoring and recognizing outstanding achievement or potential by faculty and graduate students in the College of Agricultural Sciences.

Obie and Mary Snider Award in Dairy and Animal Science

This scholarship honors and recognizes exemplary academic achievement by a graduate student enrolled or planning to enroll in the Department of Dairy and Animal Science, College of Agricultural Sciences, whose specific area of interest is dairy genetics, dairy nutrition or dairy reproductive biology.

This endowment is to enhance student learning in the Department of Dairy and Animal Science.

Otto J. and Opal I. Hill Seminar Program

This award provides support for academic seminars for graduate students and faculty in the Department of Dairy and Animal Science.

Edgar Allen Day Memorial Fund

The purpose of this scholarship is to:

1. Pay travel expenses of a deserving graduate student in either food Science or Dairy Science so that s/he may attend a professional meeting for the purpose of presenting research finds.
2. Pay travel expenses and/or an honorarium for a visiting scientist to address a graduate seminar in Food Science or Dairy Science and otherwise to enrich the research and graduate study programs in these areas.
3. Buy needed equipment for graduate study programs in Food Science or Dairy Science which otherwise might not be available.

Pennsylvania Meat Packers Association Scholarship

This scholarship will be made to eligible senior students and graduate students in the College of Agricultural Sciences. The basis for selection shall be leadership, scholarship, interest in the commercial meat business, and financial need.
